Welcome to 1022 South J Bar, a beloved spot in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood, now proudly owned by us, Vanessa and Corina. As enthusiastic new proprietors, we are thrilled to share that 1022 South J Bar is a proud women and LGBTQ-owned business. We're grateful for the warm welcome we've received from our loyal customers and excited to meet new patrons who join our community.

From the moment we stepped into 1022, we felt an instant connection to this charming bar. With over 40 years of combined experience in customer service and backed by a strong support team with decades of expertise in the bar and culinary industry, Corina and I are thrilled to bring our vision to life. Inspired by the legacy of 1022, we are dedicated to honoring its history while adding our unique twist to the ambiance, menu, and cocktails.

Our menu features thoughtfully curated pub fare and cocktails that blend classic 1022 favorites with our personal touches. We've collaborated closely with Corina’s sister, Misty, a talented chef, to design dishes that delight and surprise. From sliders and baked brie to our signature cocktails, every item is crafted with care.

Seasonal Noel Cocktail

Jamie Noel - Corina’s sweet baby girl went to Heaven at the age of 2. She had a special heart that took her from her family far too soon. Jamie’s parents started a foundation to honor her life and give back to other children & their families affected by congenital heart defects. Jamie’s big sister has taken over the foundation and continues to grow her sister’s legacy.

In her honor, we have created two drinks at 1022:
• The Noel - served Fall & Winter
• The Noel Breeze - served Spring & Summer
All proceeds will be donated to the foundation.
